I know it has been awhile, but I’m back! These past couple of weeks have been super busy for me. And it’s getting even busier. School starts back up today actually, and I am really excited!

Hopefully I can get to working on the sequel of Flight Risk!

So far, the Kindle version has sold pretty well. And that’s even more exciting for a poor starting author like myself.

Exciting News!!

I woke up and got on Twitter, and saw that I had a message. Oh yay, I thought to myself.

I checked it and good golly, I got invited to promote my book in a magazine!!!

You can guarantee my love for Twitter grew. 😉

Apparently, I will be in the October issue of the magazine.

Tonight I am getting an author photo, because sadly, I don’t have one.

Either way, I’m pretty excited. 😉

Something I have come to realize, and I thought I would share with you, my readers.

Twitter is pretty amazing. Usually I kind of have a love/hate relationship with it, but yesterday through Twitter I sold my first book to someone in the UK. Why yes, folks, you read the right. Flight Risk has now gone global!

I am super excited about that, an through Twitter I’ve realized that there are hundreds if not thousands of struggling authors just like me out there in the world! Pretty crazy huh?

Enough of my ramblings. Here is a question for you, (feel free to comment here or email me with your answer!)

Wow!

Today, I got told something pretty incredible!

Someone said that Flight Risk is ranked 150 out of 772 best selling books!

My mind is blown! I can’t believe it! I am so excited, and it’s all thanks to you, my readers! 🙂

Update

I thought I should update you on the whole Kindle publishing issue.

It’s not. As in it is not happening, sadly I am still having issues understanding the lingo. Someone write a dictionary for Word and I will buy it!!

Usually, I don’t have issues with computers, but sheesh, this past week had me doubting my abilities!

Add on to that, what I thought would be a quick format update turned into a weekend of fighting with CreateSpace! Not sure why, but they wouldn’t accept my cover again. Thankfully the wonderful artist who designed it updated it for me and I think we are on the road again! Whew! I was worried there for a second.

Publishing Woes

Something I’ve realized today: self publishing or publishing for that matter, is not for the faint of heart. I’ve been sitting in front of my computer screen trying for hours to make my book ready for E-publishing!

Why might you ask? Because as a new author I really need to draw in new readers every way possible.

If the laptop gets thrown across the room in the process? Then so be it! Because this program issue will NOT get the best of me!!!
